Meet Amy Mitchell, EdS, LPC, NCC
Amy is a licensed professional counselor offering counseling services for individuals age 18 and up. Amy has experience working with clients on topics relating to anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, self-esteem, relationships, and communication. Amy provides a safe space for the LGBT+ and BIPOC community as well as individuals from all backgrounds, beliefs, and values.
Amy approaches counseling with the belief that an individual’s mental health and emotional wellness are holistic and interconnected to all other facets of wellness, including relational, physical, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual health.
Amy frequently incorporates education and techniques relating to family systems theory, attachment theory, and Adlerian theory into her work with clients. Using a combination of empathy, curiosity, and encouragement Amy meets her clients where they’re at and collaborates with them to process the past, cope with the present, and move toward the future with confidence and a sense of empowerment.
When she’s not working, Amy loves spending her time with family, friends, and her cat Reecie (she will happily show you pictures of her if you ask). Amy also enjoys time spent coloring, bird-watching, keeping up with the latest Star Wars content, and playing video games.
